Russian Envoy: ‘Unprofessional’ to Believe Russia Can Be Defeated

It is “unprofessional” and “childish” to believe Russia can be defeated in the Ukraine war, Ambassador Denis Alipov said this week.
He argued that European nations are engaging in “craziness” by holding onto this hope, stating “there is no chance” of it becoming a reality.
He contrasted this with the “understanding” he attributed to Donald Trump, claiming the former US president knows the war is “lost by Ukraine and the West.”
Alipov’s entire argument was based on Russia’s nuclear status. He said this is the “simple” reason why Russia “can’t be taken over.”
He also reminded his audience of Russia’s “existential threat” doctrine, which provides a “possibility” for nuclear use, a stark warning as the war continues.
