Trump’s Air War Over Iran: The Most Powerful Bombers on Earth, Unleashed

The United States has committed its most powerful conventional military aircraft to the campaign against Iran. The B-2 Spirit stealth bomber, a plane capable of penetrating virtually any air defense system and delivering the heaviest conventional munitions in the US arsenal, has been flying over Iranian skies for the past week. Iran’s internet has been reduced to approximately 1% of normal capacity. More than 1,230 Iranians have been confirmed dead. An airstrike on a girls’ school killed more than 100 students, with US investigators now believing American forces were likely responsible.
Trump has been explicit about his objectives and his methods. He has demanded unconditional surrender. He has called for regime change. He has promised immunity to Iranians who help overthrow their government. He has threatened destruction to those who resist. The B-2 bombers flying over Tehran are the physical expression of those words. Whether they will achieve what words and sanctions never could is the central question of one of the most consequential military campaigns of the 21st century.
