Protect Your Home from Wildfire Smoke with Carrier’s Air Quality Tips

by admin477351

INDIANAPOLIS—Wildfires are making the air smoky and unhealthy for millions of people. Carrier wants to help you keep the air in your home clean and safe. The smoke from these fires contains tiny particles that can be bad for your health. Carrier suggests a few simple ways to protect yourself:

Use a good air filter in your air conditioner or furnace.

Check for gaps around windows and doors to keep smoke from getting in.

Use a portable air purifier to clean the air in your rooms.

“Indoor air quality is a critical component of community health, particularly during wildfire events,” said Nick Arch, Carrier’s Vice President and General Manager of Residential Solutions. “Our technologies are made to provide effective protection and peace of mind.”

Carrier recently gave away $2.5 million in air purifiers to schools and essential workers in Los Angeles.
