Indonesia boasts some of the lowest fuel prices in Southeast Asia, as reported by the country’s state-owned energy company. Pertamax, Indonesia’s domestic RON 92 gasoline, is priced at approximately Rp15,950 ($0.89) per litre, making it the cheapest in the region compared to prices in Singapore, the Philippines, and Thailand.
The affordability extends to RON 95 gasoline, which costs about Rp19,150 ($1.07) per litre in Indonesia. This is lower than the prices in Malaysia at Rp19,822, Thailand at Rp21,412, the Philippines at Rp25,288, and significantly cheaper than Singapore, where it costs Rp48,795 per litre.
Indonesia also offers the lowest aviation fuel price in the region, at around Rp20,190 ($1.13) per litre. Vietnam follows closely with a price of Rp20,619, while Thailand, Singapore, and Malaysia have higher costs.
In terms of diesel, Indonesia ranks as the third-cheapest provider in Southeast Asia, with prices around Rp25,200 ($1.41) per litre, trailing behind Vietnam and Malaysia.
These comparisons highlight Indonesia’s competitive stance in fuel pricing across several major categories, underscoring the country’s affordability in fuel costs within the region.
