Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu praised the “unyielding spirit” of India in a condolence note to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, following a deadly blast in the capital. The attack on Monday, which killed eight, has been met with global solidarity.
“Terror may strike our cities, but it will never shake our souls,” Netanyahu declared. He reaffirmed the “strong bond” between the two nations, which he described as “ancient civilisations united by shared values.”
The Israeli leader’s message was personal, extending “deepest condolences” from himself and his wife, Sara, to the families of the victims. “Israel stands strong with you in sorrow and in strength,” he pledged.
This message was echoed by Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar, who also offered condolences and affirmed that “Israel stands with India in its fight against terror.”
The investigation into the explosion is now being led by the National Investigation Agency (NIA). The agency has formed a “dedicated and comprehensive” team to probe the “terrorist attack,” which top sources have linked to a Jaish-e-Mohammad module.
